Rustic Bunk Beds Decoration Ideas

Rustic bunk beds are a popular choice for sleeping arrangements in the children’s room. They are very functional and versatile, allowing for a wide range of sleep configurations. Along with being versatile they do not take a lot of space in a bedroom. Sometimes, though, the design and decor take the back seat when it comes to bunk beds. Add some decorative punch to bunk beds with a few different ideas. Bunk bed decoration ideas with tree house. Create a Tree house effect for a bed. Buy a vertical edge wallpaper print that depicts a tree. Install this on the wall next to the bed. Tap the wall just behind the bed with grass cloth for a natural look. Attach artificial green vines and red apples to the rails and frame of the bed to create a wooden look. Use lengths of flower wire and wrap around the stem of apple leaving a substantial portion of the tail to wire the apple and wrap the wire around the vines on the bed.

Paint rustic bunk beds with an expensive print. Paint zebra stripes, leopard stains or tiger stripes on the bunk bed frame or choose a light lime green blank paint. Hang the mosquito net from the top bunk so it hangs like a curtain over the opening to the bottom bunk. Use a vessel stapler or hook and loop tape to secure the mosquito net. Create a draped effect with the mosquito net in the ceiling above the top bunk, again, use the craft stapler or hook and loop tape. Add animal wipes and pillows for beds. Prop some stuffed monkeys all the way to complete the jungle theme.

Make a boys -only or girls, there’s only clubhouse for bunk beds. Create bright royal blue and light red curtains or flaps to hang from the bottom of the top bunk to cover the opening to the bottom bunk. Select pink, yellow or mint colors for girls. Attach with hook and loop tape or a craft stapler. Add pockets for curtains on the inside for storage. Hang old binoculars over rustic bunk beds on the wall with decorative sticks or hooks to let the children spy each other.
